Going Plaid....

Here is another comfortable, classy outfit. The skirt actually belongs to this shiny red jacket but I like to dress it down with a classy blue polo and a warm wrap around sweater. I have worn this outfit very often and is definitely one of my favorites!

A friend of mine bought me these cute owl earrings on Friday. Don't you just ♥♥♥ them!

Vintage Suitcase & more

Through friends we learned of this little store where you can bring your old clothes and other household items. You can also buy those things for very very cheap OR you can bring things and exchange for free! My family has been crazy about this. We had so much clothes from us and others that we didn't want and now we can get rid of them and get new things!

My whole family has found some great clothes and shoes. We also got a lot of great things for Patrick but sometimes my eyes catches some other things such as.....

This vintage suitcase:

Lots of doilies so I can make this runner I saw on pinterest.

This beautiful coffee pot.

A plaid backpack ♥ Who else fell in love??

And this pretty Scottish dress....maybe you'll see it on a WIWW post

Hats for me and Patrick...

Have you gotten any bargains lately?

Buried with Christ, and raised with Him too

Buried with Christ, and raised with Him too;
What is there left for me to do?
Simply to cease from struggling and strife,
Simply to walk in newness of life.
Glory be to God!

Risen with Christ, my glorious Head,
Holiness now the pathway I tread,
Beautiful thought, while walking therein:
He that is dead is freed from sin.
Glory be to God!

Living with Christ, who dieth no more,
Following Christ, who goeth before;
I am from bondage utterly freed,
Reckoning self as dead indeed.
Glory be to God!

Living for Christ, my members I yield,
Servants to God, for evermore sealed,
Not under law, I'm now under grace,
Sin is dethroned, and Christ takes its place.
Glory be to God!

Growing in Christ; no more shall be named
Things of which now I'm truly ashamed,
Fruit unto holiness will I bear,
Life evermore, the end I shall share.
Glory be to God!

While doing my assigned reading for my Class "Romans" I came across this song. I have never heard it before but the words are great.

Oliver Green, the author of the study book "Romans" writes: " To speak of salvation apart of Jesus Christ is to advertise a total ignorance in the teaching of the Gospel of the Lord Almighty. Jesus Christ is the hub of the wheel of salvation, and every spoke points to the hub- Jesus Christ, the virgin-born, only begotten, sinless Son of God.

The First week

Last week Thursday Patrick landed in Germany. When he got on the plane in Houston, TX to come to Germany they had everyone get off again because the airplane had a leak that couldn't be fixed. This of course meant...finding a new plane....and a 3 hour delay. In Germany he then landed "on time" but then they had problems with the baggage so finally, after 4 hours delay I saw this handsome man with Aussie hat come  walk toward me.☺

Sorry for the bad quality. When I had time to focus Patrick turned his back and then there was a lot of movement.

At home Patrick got freshened up, we ate some lunch and then he took a nap. I wish I could show you guys the picture of him sleeping but he won't let me. ☺ Bellow I had my grandma take a picture of us two. Our first picture together in Germany.

Friday we had a slow day. My plan has been to take a picture of us every day...well I already forgot on the second day. ☺ On Saturday we were both invited to go with friends to an amusement park. Here we are on our way "bright and early" (at least for me on a Saturday) ☺

My other friend took lots of funny pictures I had hoped to show here but that will have to wait for another time.

So what are we doing now?

Right now the plan is for Patrick to go to German language school. The name of the school is called "Volkshochschule". The literal translation would be "Folks high school" but normally you would call it an adult learning center. Here he is taking an intensive learning course in German. Its 4 hours of school every  morning. He has been doing really well. He's had 4 days of school and he already is conjugating words and doing it well! When I took French I knew the rules and that is how I conjugated and created sentences. I can tell Patrick is doing it by ear. He kinda knows if it sounds good or not...and that is great! I am really proud of him because he is catching on quick. ♥☺

Please continue to keep him/ us in your prayers. Pray he continues to learn the language quickly, Wisdom with visa, Find a CHEAP apartment that is in a good location for public transportation and....a job!

On the left you see the building Patrick is taking classes in. ☺

Jumper: Black & Green

This jumper I got as a hand-me-down from friends and was eager to see how I could wear it and really like how this turned out. This is also a great style to make me appear taller. The long black dress and then wearing the belt a little higher give me the appearance of having longer legs and being taller.

When it is warmer out it is easy to wear a t-shirt and 3/4 sleeves do great for fall. Once winter comes I will try to add a turtleneck or something similar.

Do you have anything in your closet you can try this style out with. A belt is always a great way to add a waist when the dress or blouse is a bit big.

Here I did a half normal twist & waterfall twist

Registered at the German School

A little update on the upcoming move:

Patrick is now registered at the German school. The Lord really has blessed us even in that! We had looked into a different school at first and for some reason I had their dates in my head and thought school would start on November 5th, the first Monday of the month. We had looked at different dates to Patrick to fly out from and one particular week was more expensive and so tickets were bought a week earlier. Good that that happened! I went on this German schools website and saw that classes are starting in two weeks and if that week wouldn't have been more expensive he would have been flying on his first day of school!

Then I called yesterday (Friday) and found out there was only 1 more place left in that class! Once I again the Lord led me to register him now and kept one place open for Patrick! Things are slowly coming together and the Lord has just been blessing us with various things.

I am excited to see how the Lord will write this next chapter of our love story. Its definitly keeping me at the edge of my seat as I try to figure out what happens next. ☺ Except this time I can't quickly read ahead....

Grey Pleated Skirt with layered look

I got this pleated skirt in the thrift store this last visit to Tennessee. I love how simple and classy it looks. The solid grey will match many colors and since the pleats hang down straight I can wear many style on it....you might see it in the future again. ☺
