I've been wanting to write a post about "Making God YOUR God". To many young people grow up with the God of their fathers but never make him their God and in time, their lives and actions will show it.

Glad to welcome you to my blog. :)Irishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02234052440906936531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698304954735982702.post-56405072129023493872012-09-30T02:41:30.596+02:002012-09-30T02:41:30.596+02:00What an apt analogy! My mom and I were just talking yesterday about why couples who grew up in a good church and married seemingly good people seem to suddenly go off the deep end a few years down the road. I think it's because their heart was never "on the right end" to begin with... they were "flashing signals" that weren't their own, as you put it, and after a few years of putting up a front to everyone, including their spouse, finally gave up and decided to "do their own thing" after all. Some young people even feel like they'll "never find a spouse" unless they conform to what they think is a more desirable "flashing pattern", and thereby end up married to someone who doesn't know the real "them." As you said, this usually ends up disastrously!
I am a new follower-- found your blog through your outfit feature at Fresh Modesty :) Love everything about it! Hubby and I have been happily married for 6 and 1/2 years, and we had a LDR as well-- though not as long as yours ;) Keep up the good work for the Lord!Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01363755602663258395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3698304954735982702.post-61115111565177286902012-08-04T17:36:16.687+02:002012-08-04T17:36:16.687+02:00What a precious and accurate analogy!
