The first day trip brought us around the Sea of Galilee. First we took a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. How special is that!
The next stop was in Magdala - where you can see ruins from a 1st century synagoge. Most likely Jesus would have taught there.
After that we went to Capernaum. There you can see a second century synagoge built on the foundations of a first century synagoge.
We hiked up to the "City of Hippos". Hippos means "Horse" in Greek. Hippos was a "Las Vegas" in its time. A Roman party town. Outside of this town was a crazy man that lived in caves and tombs. (Read Luke 8)
We ended the day by grilling at the Sea of Galilee with friends and watched the sun set on the water.
