A trip through the Christmas Market

Merry Christmas my blogging friends! Today I have something special!

My first vlog...kinda... I wanted you to get see a little bit of a Christmas market. I decided to take a few videos and pictures of a trip through the Christmas market. It is really awkward to talk to the camera. Hahahaha…look past the awkwardness and enjoy the trip through the Christmas market with me!!!!

My Flute Medley- Media Monday

Hello Friends,

Another week has started and..... only 7 more days till Christmas (if you do it on the 24th). Bellow I decided to post a video of my playing my flute at my college's Christmas Concert. I was at college my freshman year. I picked these two German Christmas songs for my flute medley because I was really missing home (my first time away from home during Christmas) and I wanted to play some familiar songs. 

My roommate and now good friend accompanied me on the piano and we had lots of fun practicing together. I had picked like 10 songs and dwindled it down to 2. :D This flute was an early Christmas present: A silver plated /full silver head flute (in case you're into that stuff ☺). I was so nervous playing "alone" and in front of all these people I didn't know! ☺

We had our concert twice. We planned to do it once...at the college chapel (the video bellow) but the Pastor liked it so much he wanted us to do it again at church and so I got to play in front of over 1000 people. ☺ You can watch the saved video stream >here< . I also played with our "Bluegrass Group"...something we kinda just put together. Actually this was officially the first song we played together. Sounds more Irish. All of us aren't comfortable with the instruments we played but we had fun!

I think I am going to go watch our Christmas Concert now too!☺

Nutcrackin' Suite // Media Monday

Thank you everyone for wishing me well. My tooth/cheek feels good now. No pain since Saturday! Tomorrow I am getting my stitches out! We'll see when I'll go in for the other side. Please continue to keep Patrick and I in your prayer. We're in a rough patch right now...emotionally. Pray for faith and strength!

Anywaaaaay..... to today's Media Monday...

These two ladies are funny and are extremely talented! The piano player is awesome and the flute player plays about every flute out there. Being a flute and recorder player myself this is just awesome to me. Go ahead...hit play....I am sure you will love it!

Even though flute is not my favorite instrument to play I do love Christmas songs on the flute!! Patrick and I are thinking about practicing a medley of Christmas songs on flute (me) and guitar (him)....that's how our relationship got started...☺OK, I am totally rambling here... I'll let you go listen to it now!

Classic Christmas Medley // Media Monday

This lady did a great job mixing and playing famous classical pieces and Christmas carols together. While you work around the house, do school work just listen to these 10 minutes of relaxing and beautiful Classical Christmas music. I might have to later when I get my first wisdom tooth removed today....

Media Monday // One More Night with the Frogs♪♫

Last Friday I was reading my daily Bible reading and came across the verses in Exodus that tell us this funny incident about Pharaoh. I have heard the stories of Pharaoh and the 10 plagues many times but its after hearing this song did I notice how stupid Pharaoh was. Here are the verses and see for yourself:

Exodus 8:8- 10 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD. And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only? And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.

So Moses gave Pharaoh the choice on when he wanted to get rid of the frogs and Pharaoh said tomorrow??? Why not now?! I guess he wanted to spend one more night with the "stink'n" frogs.

Bunny Competition // Media Monday

A few days ago I found this blog and the lady has a ....rabbit. Yes, a cute little black and white rabbits with floppy ears. :D I fell in love with it right away and was looking at some of her bunny posts. I came across this Bunny Competition she posted and thought I'd share.

After my first rabbit I had heard about this and thought I would try it with my second rabbit but she was LAZY. You could hold her favorite cookie just far enough away for 5 hops and she wouldn't budge! :D

I hope enjoy this as much as I did.

Media Mondays- September 3

Guess what, today I start back up with my classes.... yeah another year of taking notes, studying, tests, homework, taking notes, studying, tests, homework, taking notes, studying, tessssss...☺ For this reason you will not be hearing from me very regular. I will come on here as I find time. Patrick and I will keep you posted on the BIG move. I will blog more modest outfits, some of my devotional truths I learn or photography as I find time.

So before all seriousness starts....

I actually had planned to show you a 30 minute video of Mr Bean but for the first time I found something that I can watch in Germany but it is blocked in the US! Normally Patrick and I have the problem that he wants to show me something and I look only to see "This movie is blocked in your country....." Since most of my readers are in the US I thought of something else. Have you seen Mr Bean's part in the opening of the Olympics 2012? It is FUN-NY!

When Patrick and I first started dating he showed me this comedian called Victor Borge. As far as I know he's German and an awesome piano player. This video is called the page turner...hilarious!  Do you have to laugh as much as I do?

Media Monday- August 6

Today is a special day in Patrick's family. His two younger brothers are headed to Germany on a missions trip! They are going to visit a missionary family just 1.5 hours away from where I live. I hope they have a wonderful time!
A few days ago my mom had me watch this little video clip on youtube. Its actually a German kids show but since they don't do any speaking I thought you might enjoy it too! ☺ The translation of the title is "The mole and the music".

Star Spangled Banner // Media Monday

Patrick has always enjoyed men quartets and has started to get me interested as well. A few weeks ago I stumbled across this guy that sings a lot of A Capella- One Man Quartets. I know its a little late but I thought I'd share his Star Spangled Banner video in reverence of Independence Day.

I am looking forward to music school this week. I have heard so much about it and today.... it is starting! Looking forward to a week filled with flats, sharps, shape notes and LOTS of singing.
