Date- Indoor Picnic & A Day Off

Our date night for April....was suppose to be an outdoor picnic...but the rain made us do an indoor picnic instead. We had a lot of fun....our activity was planning a (fake) vacation to...Italy....6 days in Venice and 8 days in Rome. ☺ Surprisingly this was A LOT of fun and next time we are taking a "trip" to Alaska.

May 1st is a holiday in Germany....its our labor day and we made it special. We slept in, relaxed, grilled and I made a goodlookin' & tastin' cake.

Date Night & Moving Day

Date Night:

Last Friday night we had our date night. I wanted something simple. We watched three movies and ate junk food! Our dinner was supreme nachos.....different than I know it but it turned out pretty good!

The Recipe:

Fry a spicy sausage and an onion till they are warm:

Add to a bowl of corn chips and poor warm melted cheese over it and you are done. Guten Appetit.

Moving Day:

Patrick was staying at our churches Missionary Press building but it was being sold. The Lord opened doors that Patrick could stay in a home of acquaintances of mine that went back in the US for furlo for a few months. So Monday we packed up and "gotta moven".....

My blog name is not "The Blue Birdhouse" for nothing. I really love birds and own four. I will have to officially introduce them some time but let me introduce you to Lake. He was looking around in my room and posed for a few pictures.

Haircuts & Date Nights

No, we didn't cut hair on our date night. ☺ Patrick was needing a haircut it was getting to that "kinda-to long-still.-ok-length". A lady in my church just got some clippers she's been wanting for her guys and asked if I'd be interested in her old ones. I gladly took them and then...Wednesday was my first time cutting human hair. (Yeah, my dog Paxton had to let me snip on him a few times.☺).

I was extremely nervous but had an idea on how to approach it between watching my friend Crystal cut her brothers hair and watching a few Youtube videos. Though the perfectionist side sees a few things I want to do different next times, it turned out pretty good.

We had our first date night here together! I decided to cook and Patrick picked the meal. He wanted me to cook the meal I made him ever...Chicken Alfredo.

Patrick was so sweet and surprised me with some beautiful red roses and After Eight chocolate...my favorite. I was sooooooooo surprised!!!

After dinner we played a few rounds of Master Mind. Do you know this game? How do you like it?

 Before we watched the movie Emma we were being silly. Patrick was holding the plate of cookies and I asked if he was planning on holding it throughout the movie. If he was he had to hold it up high. I then snatched it away but Patrick continued to hold his hand up and I started setting things I found around me on his hand: my Bible, a pillow and my red high heels. :D

Valentines Date Night 2012

Dear Friends,

Today we are celebrating our second Valentines day together. Tuesday with me working and the time difference it was hard for Iris and I to plan something together. So today we are having our Valentine's Date. We are planning on having a little Bible study, playing a Valentine game that Iris found and later on tonight we'll be watching a movie we both have not seen.

I decorated my table with red candles, a heart cup and Patrick's flowers he gave me. I am looking forward to playing the Valentines game I found online. It should be a lot of fun with laughs and opening conversations. ♥ I love date nights and I really was looking forward to this one! ♥♥♥

Date Night- January

Last night we had our first date of 2012. It was almost a last minute thing since we had scheduled it for next week. Our "same-date-food" was spaghetti & Sprite, Oreos & milk The color theme was red. Iris was wearing red, had a red napkin and lots of red candles to decorate.

We talked, and Patrick hung up little German name signs of different objects in order to learn his German. They all ended up falling back down which was very annoying ☺ but tape can help. We made this our date-night-game and then moved on to something else.

Iris had to work on her Grandma's birthday gift so we talked while she crafted. The movie we planned on watching wasn't available, so we settled for something else. It wasn't the best but it was interesting.

All in all, even though it was different, we had a great time together. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
