Refashion: Turtleneck to Ruffleneck

She is really really good! Does lots of refashions and here is a great way to make a turtleneck look cute. I'll be looking at the thriftstore for a nice turtleneck.

I did it again....sewed an annoying turtleneck into something cute. Some of you may remember {this} refashion I did. It was so simple to do and I knew I wanted to do that with many of my long sleeved shirts. I love fun shirts and most of my winter things are so boring.....yep, that means I'll be doing a lot of refashioning over the course of winter.

Anyway, here is how I did it.
1.) Just cut out your neckline how you want it.....remember it gets wider because your sew a seam!
2.) Cut the turtle neck part straight and cut into strips like you see in the picture. (Ignore the birdseed ☺)
3.) You could leave the sleeves on your shirt but I cut them shorter to make it cuter.
4.) I didn't take pictures of the other steps but stitch the long strips into ruffels....all one long string.
5.) pin the ruffles on the neckline like you see in the first picture
6.) Sew

See some more pictures of this outfit on {Feminine Modesty}.....but before you leave....

How are some ways you would refashion turtlenecks?
