My Birthday

First of all I want to thank everyone that participated in my giveaway! I had lots of fun and wish I could design new blogs for all of you!!

My Party

Sunday afternoon I invited some of the young adults from my church and celebrated my birthday. It turned out greater than I had hoped....'cause we had lots of fun! We played two games....one is called scissors and the other one is a game called "I have never"... the second one is crazy and fun!!!

This was our second time together on my birthday....the first time we celebrated my birthday together we just started courting two weeks ago. ☺

It was a beautiful birthday party and now I am waiting for my real birthday tomorrow.... I'll enjoy the little family celebration. ☺

Patrick's Birthday- the first time together

We were really looking forward to this day! This would be Patrick's first birthday where we were really together....and though money is a big subject right now I wanted the birthday to be fun and "rememberable"...if that's a word. ☺

So date night for this month was.....bowling!!! Patrick really wanted to go bowling and it took awhile to find someone to go with us but ended up having a WONDERFUL evening. The couple has been coming to our church for a little over 6 months and this was an awesome opportunity to get to know them. We played aournd 4.5 games (hourly rate) and boy was I sore the next day.

The bowling allee is on the American base so we got to enjoy some American food (Intalian sausage pizza) and....free refills! Its great. In Germany you pay almost double the amount for your drink and NO refills! 

We were doing so much laughing, teasing and talking.....hehehehe....fun fun memories.

Sundays we normally just stay at church so we don't have to walk home....this Sunday was no different....well it was. We had like 25+ people there and cake, laughter, games, singing....

Oh, in case you were wondering....nope, he is not named Patrick for the holiday....he's a junior....pretty cool, huh?

Visa is needed....

Please Pray....I thought I'd tell you tomorrow but I need you to pray today. 

Tomorrow Patrick is going in to get his visa. The lady there....well....she is known to be mean....hateful. Another girl in our church has had to work with her....she ain't nice. If this is the Lord's will it will work out. We don't see a reason he shouldn't get one but it would be nice (and a miracle) if he could get a student visa....or not to have to renew it every month for each class...or....Please Pray!

Paying Customs

So, Iris has been waiting and waiting for her birthday gift to get there in time. A few days ago Iris says to me "Honey, your gift is KINDA here" Of course I was totally confused at what that was suppose to mean. She explained that she received a letter from the post office stating that she needed to get her package from customs. She was to bring the receipt, the paper she got and money to pay taxes.

A friend drove me there and I really had no idea what to expect but they explained everything well. When I got there I showed them my paper and they got my package from the back room. It was slightly ripped and they made me open it infront of them. I was a little annoyed since this gift was suppose to be a surprise and now I knew how much it cost and had to open it up as well. I told them it was a birthday gift and they were really sweet and opened it in a way so that I could not see it. ☺ So I still don't know what it is and have to wait to open it.  Hmmmmmm???

Well, on top of having to open up my package for them I had to pay a certain percentage of my own gift!!! Thankfully they saw that I had not ordered this myself but my boyfriend had and so I had to pay a little less. After paying the money I got this impressive stamp on my paper.

Anyway, I can't wait to share with you what I got!!! Be sure to come back next Saturday... or earlier if I can't wait to share!☺

Looking at Flights

So Iris and I might be seeing each other earlier than we thought! We had been planning a visit for awhile but for various reasons we could not really settle on dates yet. This past week we finally settle on some dates and are trying to look for a cheap flight. Iris will try to be here for my churches music school. She has always wanted to go to something like that and since I have told her much about our music school, she probably is actually coming!!! We are so excited.... can you see??

We were looking at the different airlines now, seeing which one is the cheapest. Wonder which one it will be.

More Fun

I had this idea to sing together like we sometimes do (Patrick doesn't hear me- I have my mic on mute- It doesn't work any other way because of the 3 second lagg) and I record it.  What do you think? :D

Oh and I found these: P & I don't know how I'll decorate them yet but it definitely will be some summer fun.

Happy Birthday Patrick

1 week old Patrick!♥

Patrick turns __ __ today!

Since we celebrated it together yesterday we are writing the blog today. ☺ We had a great time and made this second birthday together as special as possible over  Skype. This is what we did:

I was asleep nice and peaceful when suddenly a loud ring came from the computer. Sloooooooowly I turned... to see that Iris was calling me. So I answered and saw that Iris, her mom and grandma were sitting there and they started singing Happy Birthday. It just turned 12 o'clock in TN.

After a few more hours of sleep we started our date and my birthday over Skype. After a few minutes of talking we continued with our Bible study on faith. We look up every verse in which the word "faith" is mentioned and we found it interesting that the disciples were being rebuked for their lack of faith whereas the Gentiles were commended for their great faith.

After the Bible study we played a few games over Skype. We had a lot of fun trying out new games and Iris got a chance to win too. ☺(Iris- I never get to win so I was super excited!!!)

We ate lunch/dinner together with my mom & grandma. Patrick & I planned a good meal of lasagne, garlic bread, salad and rootbeer. Patrick added corn to his meal which I thought does not fit with lasagne.  ☺

Here is the Birthday-boy with the ice cream cake. We sand "Happy Birthday" in German & then he blew out the candle. ☺Sadly none of us could have a piece but I don't think Patrick was to sad that he can have it to himself ☺ Now he can enjoy ice cream cake over the next few days. But my mom, oma & I had ice cream, too! After we ate our desserts Patrick got to open the gifts I sent him.

My favorite gift was a 3 CD pack of 50 mandolin songs. I was impressed of the many styles (classical, hymns & bluegrass) the mandolin was playing and at how simple each song is played. It showed me that you don't always have to play fast & over the top to make the mandolin sound nice and impressive!

After food and celebrating Iris and I watch a funny movie together. We had a good time laughing together and talking about the day. Iris then went to bed and I spent some time with good friends of mine.

It was an amazing day "together" and we both had lots of fun!!!
