My Motto

We are now in December...Patrick came in October...we are still looking for a job and an apartment...we looked at 3 apartments this week, sent out many resumes...yeah, we get discouraged but you know what...work like all depends on you and pray like all depends on God....I can't wait to look back on this part of my love story. :) Here is something I said to Patrick today...

....I know there is something similar out there but I loved how it ryhmed and there is a lot of truth to that. My best is still not enough but God will do the rest!!!

Can you give me a verse that helped you through I time when you lacked faith or maybe a quote that gave you new hope?

PS: Thank you all for the comments....I really enjoy hearing from each of you! It brings a big smile to my face...ask Patrick. ;)

  1. So true my dear. :) Leave it up to the Lord, easier said then done i know! But all will happen in his timing, and his timing is always perfect! :) My all time favourite quote/poem is this. :) I have it on a little card i keep in my Bible. :) One of my all time favourites, because it is so true!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
    When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

    :)

  5. What beautiful words. Lovely post. A fave quote of mine, not scripture though, for when things are sometimes discouraging... "lift up your eyes on the day breaking for you. Give birth, again, to the dream". I believe Zora Neale Hurston wrote it in Their Eyes Were Watching God.

    Aloha,

Stopping in to say "hey" and to invite you to join me for An Aloha Affair . We have a beautiful December team hosting and I think you'll truly enjoy gathering, mingling and growing with them. Come over, if you please. You are always welcome. Always.
