The First Snow of this Winter

Yes, Sunday morning I woke up and it was COLD! My desktop gadget told me there were Flurries outside and my window was VERY wet outside (my room is under the roof and my window is slanted). My mind went racing while I am dressing warmly to walk the dog before church..."It might be snowing outside" I grabbed my camera, bundled up and went outside....EVERY THING WAS WHITE....










Don't you just love snow nobody has stepped on yet?? Do you have snow? Do you ever have snow where you live?

    How beautiful! Even if it snowed that much here, it wouldn't look the same. I live in the Houston area, and we actually DO get snow here every few years. It even snowed on Christmas Eve in 2004 as we came home from church. It was magical!! (And it was real snow, not just sleet; my mom who grew up in Colorado said so!)A lot of people like to forget about that for some reason though just so we can gripe and complain that we NEVER get white Christmases. Of course the last Christmas snow before that was in 1800-something!

      My dad lives in San Antonio and I spent a Christmas there as well...very brown. It really didn't feel like Christmas to me. It wasn't really cold, no snow, no frost.... :D

      That is neat though snow in Houston in 1800- something and nothing till 2004! That must have been special!

      Well, that's Christmas snow. I'm 22, and there are 5 snowfalls that I can remember here. It also snowed the winter before I was born.
