Have you ever considered that these bloggers tried to get in touch with you but couldn't?
Some of you might have added your email to your blogger profile but you can only get it if they click on your profile....and many won't go in that trouble. Some of you might not even have that option.
There is a simple little box in your profile that is "unchecked" right now....check it and you'll get answers!!!
1.) Go on Blogger....see your picture in the top right?
2.) Click on Your name and go to >Blogger Profile<
Now you see your public profile...
3.)Click on the >Edit Profile< button.
Now look at the second box.... if it's empty than you are a no-reply blogger...
4.) .Check the box and people can easily respond to your comments.
If you fixed your profile write a comment and I will let you know if it works.....check your email.
PS....if you want your readers to know about this, just copy and paste this tutorial.....give credit to The Blue Birdhouse..... and let your readers check if they are no-reply bloggers!
Well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an important thing to change. Thanks for getting the word out there. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI just fixed my profile, not sure if it worked. Thank you for this wonderful information, I had no idea :) Have a blessed day. Tara.
ReplyDeleteSuper brilliant of you to post this! I was just wondering where on earth to look to double check that that was set up -- and then I saw your tutorial! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteSuper helpful tip! Someone told us recently that we were no reply, but I honestly didn't really know what they meant! I do now! :) Thank you! Stopping by from SITS.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I am doing this properly because it keeps taking me over to Google!
ReplyDeleteVery helpful! I used to be no reply, and luckily I managed to fix it around the same time I joined SITS. It's eye opening!
ReplyDeleteI must be doing something wrong because it directs me to Google Plus profile.
ReplyDeleteHello I just found your blog on Women Living Well. I just fixed my account because it did not have a check mark next to it. Thank you so much for the helpful information. I will pass it on to others and send them back to your blog. Have a wonderful weekend and God bless.
ReplyDeletethanks for the tutorial and the email--I really didn't know that I was a non-reply blogger! Thought my email was published! Thanks for letting me know.
ReplyDeleteThanks- I think I should be reachable now through my Google Plus account. I have to maintain anonymity because I foster children, and that is VERY tough to do with Google these days. The Internet is SO connected. But I think I have managed it? Thanks for the advice!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool tip! I was on blogger before, but not anymore.. I am not even sure if I have done this when I was there.. I might have been a no-reply blogger :( Thank you for the awesome tutorial.. Its very helpful :) Hopping by from SITS. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to check on this right now! The only reason I have a Blogger account is to make it easier to comment on Blogger blogs! I should probably make sure it's friendly. Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteI agree- responding to comments is a must. It helps readers connect to us as authors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tutorial! It is so great to be able to connect when you leave a comment on a blog!
ReplyDeleteIris, this is always a timely post! I was a no reply blogger for like 4 months before a few people called it to my attention. Happy SITS day!
ReplyDeleteI definitely learned this late in the game, these are great tips! Enjoy your SITS day!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how many people still haven't done this. It can get so frustrating when I try to reply. Thanks for spelling it out so clearly.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Now I need to check if I'm a "no-reply" person.
ReplyDeleteNope you weren't....your email was attached to your name! YAY! ☺
DeleteThank you for visiting.
If you're a WordPress user, you can install a nifty little plug-in called 'Comment Reply Notification' which will send an email notice when to reply to a comment. I love this feature and enjoy hearing back from my other favorite blogs this way.
ReplyDeleteI"m a WordPress blogger and I always reply to comments. Lately I haven't been getting any. I love talking to other bloggers. Enjoy your SITS Day and thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip, Iris. Enjoy your SITS Day!
ReplyDeleteWhen I go to Blogger only my Google profile shows up. It doesn't look like your screen. I think I am missing something.
ReplyDeleteThat is because you connected your blogger with your Google+ .....that way you'll always be a "no-reply" blogger. Kinda dumb if you ask me but that is how it is. The only way you can change being a "no-reply" blogger is by going back to the blogger layout.
DeleteJust google it....there are quite a few tutorials out there that explain how to go back to blogger and then change to a reply blogger. ☺
Hope this helped!
I could not agree more! Tried your tutorial, but since it's connected to Google+ wouldn't let me. I don't know why it makes you a no-reply blogger if you connect your profile to Google+--I agree, kinda dumb!
DeleteI *think* mine is okay. I guess you'll let me know! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy SITS day! I think I fixed this a few months ago. You'll let me know?
ReplyDeleteI have Word Press and it wasn't that long ago that I finally figured out how to make sure people know that I respond to comments!! Great tutorial!!
ReplyDeleteI have wordpress but it is still good info. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you Iris,
ReplyDeleteI saw you had said something about no-reply bloggers on your comment post, but I had no idea what you meant! lol! Thanks for the help :)
