I don't know about you but I love snail mail! I love having my grandma come in and say,"Iris, there is mail for you". Yes, most of the time it's just advertisement. The new flyer from a dog catalog, an ad from my bank or some new "young adult thing" from my health insurance....nothing interesting, yet I rip it open and glance at it.
For the course of 2-3 years I had a faithful pen pal. It dwindled when I went to college in the US for a year and since then we wrote a few letters but mainly keep in touch through emails and she reads this blog as well. I was always super excited to get a letter from her in the mail. At a time Patrick and I wrote each other snail mail as well just for fun making up a story of us as if we lived in the 1800s....it was so much fun!
Have you seen the funny on the right before? It is very true. So today I want to encourage you to get out a blank sheet of paper, write a few words.....make it long....or keep it short....write a poem or a song, fold the paper, stuff it in an envelope, lick a stamp and press it in the upper right corner. Don't forget to add the address and surprise someone!
This letter can be address to your neighbor, a family member or a far away friend. Be a blessing and make make someone smile (....in a few days☺).
So while you do that I'll be writing my own snail mail....who could it be to? I know! Two single friends from college....they shall be surprised!
Who are you going to write? An old friend? (comment for extra entry)
