My Second Junior Semester

So today I started my second junior semester....well not really started....I put everything in its proper place, wrote out all my requirements, planned and set dates....the beginning is always really overwhelming.

My classes this semester are Teaching Art, Teaching Math, Teaching Language, Champion Christian Teacher, Biblical Counseling, Bus Ministries & Galatians - Ephesians. I am excited about what I will learn in these classes....also have a "new professor" I never had before....so new ways. I also have my favorite professor in a few classes....why is he my favorite professor? You can follow along easily and you know when and when not to take notes....makes learning so much easier...and he is funny! ☺

"Only" four books to read this semester....less than usual but The Preacher's Outline & Sermon Bible is pretty big, pretty thick...and the text is a VERY small print.....I need to critique 5 chapters of each book.

Since I have 3 "Teaching ____" classes this semester there are a lot of teaching presentations I need to do....they can be fun....and scary. I'll be teaching different math principles, grammer, art & I have to read a book as interesting as I can. ☺

I got my report card from last semester....my grades weren't as good as the semester before. Before I had all A's except I think one B. This semester....don't know....a lot of change and stress with Patrick being here....and I was having a REALLY hard time with my Romans class....I knew my quizzes were really bad and my notes....I was always writing the wrong things and didn't have what I needed. I was worried I would fail....I almost did but the Lord answered my prayers!

It was also Patrick's first day of the next and probably last course so we celebrated with Pizza and rootbeer. Mhmmmmmmm....both are a special treat!

How is your school/ work? Doing anything special right now?

  1. I finished college two years ago and I most definitely do not miss all the homework, but it is interesting to see what classes you are taking :).
I am working with my mother in law and father in law at their business and in my off hours I am continuing to do improvements on mine and my husbands house. We were married in February so there is still much to do ! I so enjoy following you and Patrick through your journey and I love your writing and your refashions !!! Kaitlyn in Alabama, USA

  2. Okay...so how is it you're studying in English in Germany? Is this a distance learning program? And what is "bus ministries"? I'm curious!

    1. Yes, it is a distance learning program. I listen to my classes recorded on DVD's, take notes, take tests, do my assignments and send everything to my college in Florida.

Bus ministries: Some churches have (school) buses and pick up children/families and drive them to church when they normally would not have a ride. Many are kids from families/ neighborhoods were "no one cares" and this can turn into a very great ministry. ☺

  3. Oh, I was wondering...How can you do the presentations ? via Skype or something ?
As for myself, I'm really busy right. I have so many things I want to get done before the end of my internship and so little time ! My days are crazy busy and I find myself working non stop : I get up, go to the lab before 8:15 then work all day long, and head back home at 7 pm, to quickly have something to eat and then work again. Hectic and stressing but I'm confident God will provide and controls everything that is out of my power ! Anyways...Too much rambling ;-)
Have a great evening dear Iris !

    1. I don't know if I could live under that kinda stress your going through right now...to much for me!

I give my presentations in front of my proctor who has a sheet given by the school...what to look out for and such. Another method is taking a video, sending it in and having them grade it. ☺
